Man Behind the Lens

Peter Still, our man behind the lens, shares a selection of his favourite pics and a few words about the fourth round of the BTCC at Thruxton.

Well… It didn't rain! For the first time I can remember this year, no wet races.

In fact it was a blinding weekend, not only for the weather, but the weekend as a whole. Good racing all round.. Except for Jason Plato if you believe what he says!

Just goes to prove that before you shouting and accusing people.. Get your facts right!

Or was it just a climb-down after race three?

Anyway, met Rusty and the Malvern boys at Thruxton. I can't believe it is their 'local' track! Great bunch of loonies, sorry 'fans'. Surprised to hear from them that they didn't realise how friendly most of the drivers are.. Obviously spending too much time down the wrong end of the pit-lane!

I must admit… apart from the organisers that have no idea how to layout a campsite, the people that camp at Thruxton seem to be the best around. True fans many of them.

It's a shame the circuit still looks like a building site when these fans turn-up.

Glad to see the Motorbase cars with no real damage over the weekend. That must have been a relief for Mr Bartrum. Lets hope that is a sign of things to come. The guys seem to be getting hold of this rear-wheel drive business and lets hope they can break a bit higher into the top ten. I know it will mean a lot to all.

Mr Jones seems to carrying on his fight to stay in front of the Independents points. He has a fight on his hands with Matt Jackson and the backing he has with the BMW.

The disappointment of the championship for me so far this year is Martyn Bell at team Arkas. I was hoping to see Martyn doing a bit better this year away from the BMW.

Also talk of new drivers out for the second half of the season. All looking good.

Let's see what Croft has in store for us.
