Michael Caine (International Racing Driver) is widely regarded as one of the best sportscar drivers in Britain.
Michael's winning ways started in 1995 when he won the Slick 50 under 2-litre Class Championship in a VW Scirroco costing just £5.
In 1996 he turned his attention to Caterhams, winning the 750 Motor Club Championship in his first year. 1997 he became the Caterham K Champion followed by the Caterham Superlight Championship in 1998.
Like many drivers of his age in 1999 Michael was tempted to join the TVR Tuscan Championship, unsurprisingly he became joint Champion at his first attempt. He decided to stay with the Tuscan's in 2000 where he went on to win the title outright. His driving ability was starting to get recognised, as he was voted Autosport Club Driver of the year.
His performance also impressed the people at TVR, from 2001 he became a works driver for the company, competing in the British GT Championship in their mighty Cerbera Speed 12 during 2001 and 2002. Then in 2003 and 2004 TVR changed to the T400R where Michael entered the ALM series taking the car to Le Mans where his highest place was eighteenth.
2005 saw Michael move back to British GT's where he teamed up with Mike Jordan in a Porsche 996 GT3 RS finishing the season fourth in the championship.
