Jan Persson has spent his entire racing career in the TVR Tuscan Challenge Championship.

Jan started racing in 2001 where he took part in the last two races of the Championship. Followed by two full seasons in 2002 and 2003 with mediocre success finishing in sixteenth and thirteenth respectively.

Like his team-mate Rod Barrett, he decided that he needed to take a break from racing due to business commitments during 2004 but was soon tempted back to the TVR Tuscan Challenge Championship for two more races before the Championship finished.

After the announcement of plans to retire the Tuscan Challenge, Jan looked elsewhere to race during 2005. The British GT Championship was chosen with a BMW Z3M Coupe GT3, but in June the decision was made to transfer to the EERC Britcar series with team-mate Rod Barrett as the BMW was not competitive in the GT Championship.

Plans for the 2006 season revolve around a full assault on the British GT Championship using a 2004 Porsche 996 GT3 Cup car with Rod Barrett as his team-mate.
