In just seven short years, Ahmad has firmly established himself as one of the Middle East's most talented sportsmen and Oman's shining light in global motor racing. Following a very successful background competing in Formula Renault single-seaters; Ahmad switched to the world of sports car racing in 2010 competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship.
Following his Pro-Am 1 Championship title win in the Carrera Cup GB in 2012, Al Harthy stepped up to endurance racing in 2013 partnering Michael Caine in the #1 Oman Air Motorbase Porsche 997 GT3R. The Oman-based racer returns to the Motorbase-run Oman Racing Team for his 2014 campaign, partnering Michael Caine in #4 Aston Martin Vantage V12 GT3 as the duo challenge for the British GT championship for the second year running.
